An atelier for objects that hold their shape.
RANSORI is a design project based in Sweden, working on a first collection of objects in composite, stone, metal and wood. The collection is still in development and is published here as it takes shape.
What we hold to.
Material honesty
Nothing is finished to imitate another material. The weave, the edge and the join are left legible.
Restraint
An object earns each line it carries. We remove until only the necessary geometry remains.
Longevity
Objects are designed to be kept and maintained rather than replaced.
Origins
Composites, borrowed from flight.
Techniques borrowed from aerospace and motorsport, where every gram is argued over. Brought into the home, that discipline reads differently: a tray that feels impossibly light, a column that stands without visible mass.

The collection is being developed object by object. Part of it is public; the rest is shown only by name until it is ready. Nothing can be bought yet, and no launch date has been set.
Studio details, the people involved and production partners will be published here once they can be stated accurately, together with photographs from the studio rather than studies of material.
