Precision is a process, not a claim.

Material rewards patience. Each object passes through five stages, and none can be shortened without the material saying so.

Five stages, in order.

  1. 01

    Material selection

    Aerospace-grade tow is chosen for weave consistency and resin compatibility. Every roll is logged against the object it will become.

  2. 02

    Lay-up

    Plies are oriented by hand, degree by degree, so the visible twill and the load path of the object agree with one another.

  3. 03

    Curing

    Pressure and heat are held on a controlled ramp. The laminate consolidates without voids and the surface takes its final tension.

  4. 04

    Finishing

    Edges are worked back through progressive grades until the weave meets the perimeter cleanly and the hand feels resolved.

  5. 05

    Inspection

    Each object is measured, weighed and read under raking light. Anything that fails the reading is returned to material stock.

  6. Nothing leaves the atelier without a numbered record card and the name of the maker who finished it.

Material study

The weave is the structure.

Carbon fibre is directional. Rotate a ply and the object changes how it carries weight, how it reflects light, and how it sounds when set down. We treat that orientation as a design decision rather than an engineering afterthought.
